Early American Woodworking Class: Build A Candle Shelf

The Center for Historic Trades at Colonial Fort Condé is offering a “kit” class where participants will be provided the pre-made parts of a candle shelf to assemble, glue together, milk paint, and finish. A drawer pull of either wood or metal will also be included. (There will be a choice of 8 colors of milk paint).
Prerequisite skills: No pre-requisite skills are necessary for this class, so it is beginner-friendly for ages 13 and up!
This class is taught by instructor and woodworker, Scott Wetter, creator of the Mobile chapter of the non-profit, Society of American Period Furniture Makers, (SAPFM), a society dedicated to teaching the craft of historic fine furniture making. (see: www.SAPFM.org). Scott served on their national Board of Directors for 3 years and has also curated furniture exhibits and lectured on the topic at several venues in Mobile.
Tickets are $60 per person (ages 13+) and the class size is limited to ten.
