Learning Lunch Feat. John Sledge: Mobile And Havana: Sisters Across The Gulf

The History Museum of Mobile’s upcoming Learning Lunch Program is on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 12pm and will feature John Sledge, Maritime Historian-in-Residence at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico. The topic of his presentation is Mobile and Havana: Sisters Across the Gulf.
Mr. Sledge retired in 2024 after 38 years as an architectural historian with the Mobile Historic Development Commission. Sledge is the author of eight books, including The Gulf of Mexico: A Maritime History and Mobile and Havana: Sisters Across the Gulf.
The History Museum of Mobile invites the public to attend the free Learning Lunch lecture series. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy a presentation on an historical or cultural topic.
